"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted." James 1:8-9
Double minded means literally 'two souled', showing that the soul can
refer also to the spiritual side of man, as well as the carnal. This
person is tossed to and fro with no solid ground to stand on. Sometimes
they are up, sometimes, they are down. Sometimes they are spiritual,
sometimes they are carnal. How often have I seen on social media places
those who do not seem to know what they believe -- for one minute they
will post a spiritual saying or verse and the next an ungodly picture or
video or they sit on their high horse and ice others who are trying to
the best of their ability to live for God thinking that if they ice them
that will surely show them how they feel. This leaves a lost world who
looks on with the question, "What makes them so different from me? Why
should I even trust this God with my life, let alone my soul?" Dear
friends, this should not be.
Do not think for one moment that God will
not judge you for offending those who would be His and do not think there
will not be repercussions for hurting ANY of His children...no matter
what their current standing with Him is.
God is looking for humble souls -- souls of low degree -- souls that, even though you will give no credit, God Himself will exalt and lift up in due time. He is looking for those who know without a doubt in Whom and in what they believe. And is looking for those who will esteem and love others better than themselves for they still remember what they were and the great debt they owed when God found them.
That's my two cents worth. To God be the glory!
