It Takes a Little Faith!

 It Takes a Little Faith

Oftentimes, we fret and get anxious over situations in our lives and we wonder why God seems to be silent. What is happening is that in those moments we have lost sight of God’s nature. We are in essence questioning His character and motives. We either do this out of ignorance of God’s Word or we have, momentarily, focused on self and what we think is best for us. We feel that if God is not handling things the way we think He should then He either doesn't care, doesn't love us, or has forgotten about us. Nothing could be farther from the truth!

We want results and we want them now. But, if all
our requests were granted instantly, we would not know the joy and peace of resting in the Lord. We would not know that His grace and strength are sufficient. God is not a genie in a bottle who gives no thought to the consequences of our misplaced requests -- He is our Father and He loves us more than we will ever know. He wants HIS very best for us!

When we trust the Lord with our troubles and trials and pray in faith He will answer either “yes”, “no”, or “wait”, but whatever the response, we can be confident that it is the best response for our situation.

God sees across time. He knows the beginning and the end. So, stop fretting! Like, John the beloved, lay your head on His bosom and rest. He can calm your storms and move your mountains. He’s got this! Keep the faith and the Father will be well pleased.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. ~Hebrews 11:6
