She Who Kneels Before God Can Stand Before ANYONE!!

She who kneels before God can stand before ANYONE...

Dear Princess, Daughter of the Most High God,

Have you knelt before your King today...or even yesterday or the day before? Have you praised Him and thanked Him for your salvation that came at such a high cost? Have you asked Him to forgive the sins in your life that keep you from getting the healing that you need and hinders the sweet fellowship you could be having with a loving, yet holy and omnipotent God?......

(Most likely, you know what these transgressions are because you may have been hiding them from the rest of the world for quite some time... but, if you do not know.... "ASK" if there be anything that hinders you and He will show you. It is of utmost importance to Your Lord. He saved YOU to have a relationship with YOU. You are precious to Him because you are His child... YOU are HIS beloved. He will help you lay down that which besets you and keeps you from running the race He has set before you.)

If you have not gone to Him today, it's not too late. Do it right now before satan snatches this moment from you. Your Savior is calling and He is only a prayer away.....

I know and you know, from experience, that when you have been in His presence, unhindered by sin, it is glorious and we feel a power coursing through our veins that the world cannot know. It causes us to stand our ground even when we find ourselves standing alone. It causes us to love the unlovable and stand against injustice done to the weak and not turn a blind eye. It helps us to be more than conquerors. It gives us holy boldness to be a witness to ANY man... not fearing what man would do to us. It causes us to fear NO ONE, but God... and we will not feel the sting of rejection because we will know that we are accepted by, His Majesty, the One who loves us and gave Himself for us.

Precious one, satan is jealous of this power and he will do whatever is necessary to keep you from having it. DON'T let him have his way with you any longer!

Are your secret sins worth more to you than our loving God and Creator and the sacrifice He made? Are they worth hanging onto and causing you to continually live in defeat... or is it time to rise up and say, "I'm not going to live like this anymore! Satan has destroyed too much... taken too much! It is time for his reign of terror to end! It is time to take my rightful place as a joint heir with Jesus Christ... as priests and kings. It is time to live a holy, dedicated, and separated life! It is time to stop living in the trap satan has me in... living like a slave to sin... living below my means... living like a pauper instead of a princess..."

Oh friend, listen......"He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)

Ask for forgiveness and be set free --- FREE from anger, anxiety, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, lying, stealing, cheating, coveting, gossiping, judgmental attitudes, being unfaithful to God's cause, lack of empathy for the lost, fornication, drunkeness, addictions, selfishness, every form of wickedness, feelings of inferiority, feelings of rejection, lack of faith, disobedience, not hating what God hates and loving what God loves! Run, to Him dear child and lay it down! He loves you and He wants to heal you! No one is holding you back...ONLY YOU are holding you back! There is victory and deliverance in His precious name! LET GO AND LET GOD! Feel the power of His presence!

There is NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING worth hanging onto...NOTHING of such worth that it should come between you and your GOD... between you and living the abundant life that God intended you to live... a life free of the burdens you were never meant to carry!!! DO NOT delay my sister-in-Christ!! Today is the day for your deliverance! Not tomorrow... for it may never come!! Shake it off! Lay it down! You know that you must! Nothing will change until you do.......

I love you because of Calvary,

~The Princess Warrior

P.S. Friend, I felt pressed on all sides to share this message. God knows that someone needs to hear it. Someone may be on the last leg of their journey and is fearful to meet God, someone may be on the verge of placing themselves on a shelf to never be used of God again, or someone may be ready to throw in the towel on life. Don't do it! There is still hope! As long as you have breathe... THERE IS HOPE! Realization, belief, and repentance are the steps to reconciliation and healing.

If you've never known the feeling that I have described in the letter above... if you've never had the power of God on your life before, I would be glad to lead you to its source.... JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!!! There's just something about that name! I can show you how to receive Him today. Just leave me a comment and I WILL respond... I care, but most of all, GOD CARES and He will meet you where you are!!

Dressing to Attract

Lately it seems the word ‘modesty’ ranks with the likes of ancient concepts like, oh, chivalry. I mean, it’s 2012. Does anyone REALLY worry about modesty anymore? We’ve been liberated. It’s not about what we wear. As women, we can do what we want, be who we want to be, and parade around in any attire we so choose. We need not have any regard for how it makes other people feel.  We fought for this ‘freedom’, didn’t we?

Hmph. We’re more sexually objectified and oppressed than we’ve ever been, all in the name of liberty. And modesty – where is modesty? Some women want to know. I mean, what are we to do with culture when it comes to what we wear?

As Moms, how do we honor God, our children, our husbands, and ourselves? Where do we stand in this mess that says ‘hot moms’ have it all and frumpy ones should just stay home in their jogging pants? Really, where do we stand?

For me, it comes down to this:
“Am I dressing attractively or dressing to attract?”

The concept was mentioned in a great book by Josh Harris. In fact, it was his wife who made the statement and I agree completely in her wisdom. She challenged women to look in the mirror and ask the question: “Am I dressing attractively (so I look presentable and suited to the occasion/setting) or dressing TO ATTRACT (to attract extra attention to myself)?”

I think there are a lot of Christian women who don’t understand how the way they dress affects the people around them. My attitude really changed when I started thinking about modesty as a love thing. I think we often attribute dressing nice as something positive, which it can be. But it can also often mean dressing to display ourselves.

We talk about vanity but we don’t often talk about love as it relates to this topic. The bible teaches strongly against causing others to stumble. It really does come down to how we show love to others in ALL we do. Men are visual, period. As Christian women, we ought to be thinking about how we can dress as to NOT attract that ‘attention’ that causes men to stumble. And also, I believe it is extremely important to show respect to the Mothers and the wives of the men in the room by dressing appropriately. This is the loving thing to do, and we are called to love.

I know many readers will be wondering what it means to be modest. Can I just be open and say - I am so uncomfortable with posts and articles that outline step by step instructions for how to dress modestly or for “biblical womanhood”. Matters of the heart are between us and God. Our convictions may be different and thank goodness we serve a God of grace unending. I don’t want to type out criteria for what I believe would qualify as ‘modest’ in a girl’s wardrobe. I don’t want to offend people and, really? Who am I? If you are seeking God and asking Him to reveal His will for you on this topic, He will. He gives wisdom to those who ask for it in His name and for His purposes.

For a LONG time I struggled with this issue. The need to feel wanted by men. It’s wrong. It’s destructive. If you are struggling with this desire, please, pray about it and talk to a strong woman of faith about your feelings. I know this is a huge topic, and I was moved by so many women who contacted me and discussed how they related closely with a post I wrote called, “Hot Mom Syndrome“. God has taken me on quite the journey – because I asked for it. For me, I know in my heart if what I’m wearing is appropriate because I feel it in my spirit. There’s nothing wrong with being stylish, but it can be done with modesty. We all want to be neat, tidy, clean, and feel good about ourselves, sure…

But isn’t there a much higher calling for us, far beyond feeling ‘good’ about the way we look? We must grow a deep desire to consistently show love to other women and ultimately, to our brothers in life, by remaining humble and modest in the way we dress and the way we act.  If we cling to Jesus and walk in His ways, it is our heart that will radiate beauty… He is the only one who can truly make us shine.

Are You a Cross-Bearer?

"There will be no crown-wearers in Heaven who were not cross-bearers on earth!" ~Daniel D. Gladu

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. ~Matthew 16:24-27

Dear Friend,

God does not intend for sin to continue to reign. It will be brought to an end and God will restore His children (those who believe and obey) to the original, sinless state He intended us to be. But, until then we live in a world ruled by the prince of the power of the air. He will entice us to enjoy the pleasures of sin and to dig our roots deep into an earth that will one day be destroyed by fire. He wants us to cling to useless, earthly treasures and engross ourselves in worldly activities that have no eternal value.

Like children, the more of these "things" we have or do the more we want. We heap treasure on top of treasure and run from pleasure to pleasure. We are never gratified or satisfied because we are trying to find a satisfaction that can only be found in the Lord Jesus Christ and having a personal relationship with Him.

Like little mice in a maze we run to and fro trying to find our freedom, but in the end we feel trapped and confused because, after all our seeking, we still feel lost -- we still feel there is something we lack.

We feel that if we give in to God we will lose our freedom and individuality, when in reality, we will find our freedom and realize that He has a plan and purpose to use us in a way that fits who we are and it will be far above what we even imagined.

I'm putting my own little twist on this, but there's a tale of a king who knew of a very special place that, more than anything, he wanted to show to his little daughter, the princess. To get there they had to travel a path through a very dense and kind of scary forest.

The little girl skipped along with her father, sometimes holding his hand and sometimes letting go to pick up rocks and throw them or from seeing a squirrel or rabbit scurrying by and chasing after them. But, somewhere along the way the little princess saw something very shiny a little ways off the path. She was drawn to it's brilliant light and as she wondered toward it she realized she was no longer on the path and nothing looked familiar any more, but worst of all, she could no longer see her father, the king. She became frightened and called out His name. What was only minutes seemed like hours to the little girl and she would swear it seemed to have gotten much darker since she last saw her father.

As she continued to call out to her father, he called back, "Here I am child!" She ran and leaped into his arms and said, "Father, I was afraid! Why did you leave me?" and the father replied, "I never left you dear daughter. I was just right over there, but you didn't see me. Why did you leave me?" The daughter replied, "As we were walking, I saw something shiny that caught my eye and I just had to see what it was." "Ah, yes", said the king, "I found the item that got your attention...it was nothing more than a broken mirror."

The moral of this story is: The little princess became more obsessed with chasing after what seemed to be something of great value in her eyes and almost missed out on what her father wanted her to see. What he had in store for her was so much more magnificent than a broken mirror. She just couldn't fathom the greatness of what the king had in mind.

I don't think the original story ever told what the king wanted to show his daughter, but I would like to imagine that it was the most beautiful meadow that anyone had ever seen. It was filled with lush green grass, and beautiful, exotic flowers of every kind and color. There was a crystal clear, bubbling brook running through the meadow and there was the most beautiful view of snow capped mountains in the distance. And the sky, oh the sky, had shades of color and hue that no man could ever paint. Butterflies danced around as deer would come to drink from the brook and all kinds of cute furry wildlife could be seen as well. You could also hear the birds singing sweet songs of contentment that would mesmerize and calm a weary soul. I like to picture this as a place where the king would bring his princess to often. They would laugh and play and then when they were tired they would lay in the grass looking up at the clouds...seeing elephants, and clowns, and rainbows. Many happy days were spent there bringing the father and daughter so much closer together. It would be in the memory of the princess...forever.

If you haven't guessed already, the king is a picture of the Heavenly Father, and we girls who believe and obey, His princess. He asks us to let go of the useless trinkets of this world and grab hold of what He has in store for us. The path we travel with Him may be dark and dreary at times, but where we end up will be worth it for it will be more wonderful than we even imagined.

The Father wants to show all His princesses, great and mighty things. He wants us to have a relationship with Him that compares to no other. In our darkest hours we can know with assurance that He has our hand and is guiding us to a beautiful place that we can share with Him during difficult times. He will hold our hand and be with us on the mountain tops and in the valleys and then one day on to our permanent home -- a place of peace, love, joy, and rest where we can be with Him forevermore.

For would-be princesses, if you gain the whole world and lose your very soul there will be an eternity of regret. For all eternity you will know that you passed up the splendors of heaven for a broken mirror.

When you think about your gain it makes your cross seem a lot lighter to bear. Just as Christ saw what lie ahead -- the triumph over sin, death, and hell -- the victory for the believer -- the sons and daughters won for the King -- he gladly bore His cross.

Are you a cross-bearer? If you are, you know you're not carrying it alone.

I pray this has been a blessing to you today and that just maybe this will either give you a new perspective on your King or cause you to want to know Him and what He has to offer! If you want to know the King, all you have to do is ask, and I will be glad to show you the path to Him.

P.S. As I reread this to make sure I had no errors I broke down in tears. My own daughter has traded the King, all the splendor of heaven, and an eternal life of joy and bliss for a broken mirror. I can barely see through the tears as I write this. I cannot bear the thought of spending an eternity without her and I cannot bear the thought of my princess spending an eternity in hell.

My daughter was raised in a Christian home, but she is now a professing Agnostic. Due to some life circumstances she has chosen to believe that God is uncaring and the Bible untrue and this breaks my heart. So, if you can't think of anyone to pray for, please pray for my daughter. Pray that God will get a hold of her heart and she will heed the Master's call...before it is too late and while you're at it, please pray for me as I battle for my daughter's soul. Thank you so much and may God bless you. ~TPW

Why Would I Run To Any Other?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...
You know, at some point in time, people WILL let you down. They cannot be all things at all times, BUT I have a God who neither sleeps nor slumbers. He's always there, every second of every hour of every day - always ready to offer forgiveness and freedom from the burdens that weigh us down. He offers healing and comfort that can be found in no other. He offers His ear, to listen to those feelings and problems that we cannot share with anyone else for fear of rejection or being judged. He offers His hand to lead us to those green pastures and times of refreshing. He calls out peace to our hearts when we are living in fearful times. Who is like our God? Why would I run to any other?
"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." ~Psalm 139:7-14
May God bless you today over and above what you are able to receive!
