Never Forget!

As Christians we can remember 9/11 several ways:

1. We can remind ourselves of our vulnerability and frailty, even as Americans. We may be a giant in the world, but even giants can be taken down, especially if we do not honor God in all o
ur ways.

2. We can pause to pray for the families who lost loved ones on that fateful day, for their pain remains. Yes, time will diminish some of it, but they will never forget and we should never forget them. We can comfort others with the same comfort we have received from the Lord.

3. We can work to promote the kind of unity we experienced on 9/11 and we can start in our own realm of existence. Change always starts with one person. No one can reach the people that God has placed in your path...only you.

4. We should be filled with gratitude for the leaders who have protected us. Even though we may not always agree with the way government officials run our country, we can pray that our leaders will humble themselves and pray and make their decisions based on the Word of God so that our land can be healed and receive His blessings.

5. We should remember that evil will always exist until Christ comes because we live in a fallen world, but we can find hope in knowing that He has promised to come again and set things straight. Praise God, it will not always be this way.

6. We should remember that regardless of what happens, God is still in control. NOTHING happens without His knowledge. When tragedy strikes we can ALWAYS call on His name to ask for help, strength, and guidance. When we can't make sense of things we can lay our head on His shoulder and even though the storm is raging we can find peace and comfort for our soul.
